Meet CoSuite Brickell-Miami Community Coordinator – Isabella Felice

November 25, 2020

When Brad Neuberg coined the term “coworking” in 2005 for his San Francisco shared office space, he was meeting the need he felt for different businesses and individuals to share a workspace, work independently and create a community that fostered innovation and creativity. While his idea took a little while to catch on, it caught on in a colossal way. When reports began to surface touting increased productivity, improved work attitudes, and the benefits of the community that coworking spaces generated, coworking began to make huge strides, replacing the traditional office environment as the way people preferred to work. From Neuberg’s background working on open source projects, he wanted people to “take this idea, steal it, and make it your own; basically I was giving people permission to take coworking and remix it, just like the open-source roots I came from.” Today, 15 years later, coworking spaces have matured. Some spaces, such as CoSuite, cater to both small- and large-sized established businesses and feature private office suites in upscale surroundings. This month, we take you behind the scenes to catch a glimpse of what it takes to make the CoSuite experience so successful at our Brickell location.

An Inside Look

We spoke with Isabella Felice, Community Coordinator at CoSuite Brickell-Miami. A native of Caracas, Venezuela, Felice earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Florida International University. Before joining the team at CoSuite Brickell-Miami in the heart of Miami, Felice worked with cruise ship logistics and supply chain management and distribution giant, Heinemann Americas. Working in the Human Resources (HR) Department at Heinemann Americas, Felice was instrumental in the talent acquisition area, “supporting the recruiting and onboarding process for shipboard employees.”

We asked Isabella Felice about her experience, her expectations, and her ideas about the future of CoSuite Brickell-Miami. It went something like this:

  • How did you become interested in the flexible shared space/co-working industry?
I became interested in coworking by seeing it from a second-person perspective. My last job was located at another coworking space in Miami. By experiencing the coworking culture as a member, I became fascinated by the logistics and operations of the space. I researched the concept and company culture of CoSuite and I immediately wanted to apply and experience the hospitality industry to gain more experience.
  • What is the most rewarding or fulfilling aspect of your job?
I love learning more about the coworking industry and being hands-on with all the various tasks, including operations, marketing, and customer service. The most rewarding aspect of the job is when we can fulfill all of the members’ needs and provide the best hospitality they can experience.
  • What aspect of your CoSuite Brickell-Miami Community Coordinator position most interests you?
I am looking forward to being a part of the growth at CoSuite. My plans in this role are to keep learning everything I can to absorb and bring more ideas to the team, such as event planning, hosting networking events, and creating new strategies for marketing

Up Close with Isabella Felice

In her free time, Felice enjoys baking and growing her side business called “Dulce y Felice.”

Her favorite desserts to make include tres leches, pavlova, and alfajores. With the holidays approaching, Dulce y Felice could see a spike in business and she’s very excited to get to spend more time baking.

When asked to share a quote or title of a book that speaks to her, Felice shared the Neil Armstrong quote “Shoot for the stars but if you happen to miss, shoot for the moon instead.” Felice went on to explain, “To me, this quote resembles the obstacles in life. Not everything goes as planned, but you have to trust that things happen for a reason.”

CoSuite Brickell-Miami’s private office suite model makes it safer for members to ride out the pandemic. As a Community Coordinator, Felice helps instill confidence in staff and members’ safety by ensuring that all hard surfaces are sanitized and hand sanitizer stations are readily accessible so that members feel safe working safely distanced from other business professionals.

At CoSuite Brickell-Miami, we are in the business of providing all the tools you need to keep growing your company, even during uncertain times! Our shared office spaces allow us to forgo structural changes that other coworking spaces will need to implement in the post-pandemic normal.
